looking too young to drink

looking too young to drink
We went to a Chillis restaurant last week for dinner and I am proud to say I was carded because I obviously didn't look old enough to drink alchohol, I had to hand over my driving license and have it taken away and scanned for future identification, not bad to say for a 35 year old man with a balding pate

Isn't it lovely when that happens. I lived in DC for a while. I always got carded in Georgetown and was really happy about it til the doorman told me it was just because it was a student town and they were obligated to do everyone.

When I was in Chicago recently, we went to a White Castle and my Hubby to be (who is only 48!) was given a senior citizen discount! He did not argue it tho LOL. I haven't stopped teasing him since!

Oregon is one of the strictest states for alcohol laws. I'm 31 and get carded pretty much 99% of the time. Doesnt bother me though, they are a lot more respectful about it over here. In Britain I was carded up until about 23 and a lot of the times I was asked in an obnoxious way which pissed me off.
One time in Safeway I had some acne riddled twat stacking shelves in the beer isle ask me (as I was grabbing a case of lager) "have you got ID?" I replied that if needed I'll show the teller, he was grinning like a cheshire cat

Here Tony, if you're 31 how come your profile lists your birthday as 7th June 1977??

On my last visit to NY city in 2000 both me and my friend (female) were asked for ID to enter a bar on Ladies Night (we were both over 30 at the time). I was pissed off at having to do this but those under 21 go to extraordinary lengths to get alcohol in the US so I'm not surprised (with hindsight).
