Default Looking for sympathy

I'm having a crap time...

I've been sick for last two months. Firstly I came down with Impetigo (which was nasty), then I was diagnosed as having Acid Reflux (GERD) and have been having some really nasty side effects with the pills I've been taking.

This morning I've woke up with a bubble of liquid on my left eye ball, I can't see a damned thing, and have also just been told that I have vertigo/middle ear infection.

I've never been this sick in my entire life...

Things could be worse. At least you don't have cancer or some other incurable disease.

Not sure if the Bubble is curable - I think it's a permanent fixture now Still, at least he'll be able to see eye to eye with a lot more people

That's a fair point, Penguin! I know that things could always be worse.

The Dr said that the bubble "should" go down when I get the Acid Reflux medication out of my system.

They must really like me. I'm definitely making the most of my medical insurance.

Watch out that you don't exceed your annual maximum for benefits! In the case of medical insurance, you can have too much of a good thing.

Dude - you have my sympathy. It'll all be over soon though I expect..

Here's a question - about Acid Reflux disease. Why isnt it so high profile in the UK/ Europe as it is over here in the US? I never heard of it until I came over here. Now heartburn is a 'disease'. WTF?

Or am I just being an ignoramus...?

It really sounds like the drugs companies making a market for themselves - bunch of tossers!

Because it's a good way of selling medicine without you actually being ill.

Remember the ads - "Upset stomach? pains after eating? you MUST have acid reflux...." etc....
