Long time no see, N-400 time

I have to admit to being singularly unmoved by the ceremony for myself, but it is an eye-opener to see the utter joy on the faces of people from all over the world for whom this is the end of a journey we probably can't imagine, coming as we do from our nice little island. That made me stop being so darn cynical and take the time to appreciate just what it means to become a US citizen to so many people.

Haha, yes I'll let you know if I cry or not.

Congratulations! I just filed my N-400 with all the documents today... since I had two tickets previous, I'm a bit nervous... so happy you got yours so quickly!

Congratulations. I just posted in my n-400 this morning (4 Mar 13). I should be interviewed at Jacksonville, FL. Your interview came around quite quickly...I better start cramming just in case. I'll try and keep my timeline on this thread if that's ok.

No problem, Welshgator. I do believe it's okay to post a thread of your own if you want, or in the past there has been a N-400 thread around where people could post their timelines. I'm not sure if it still is around. If not, it could be started. But, I don't mind if y'all post it on here either. lol
Good luck to you and to you too, nycawesome!
Jeff, thanks. When I went to look at the passport application forms, I noticed it said to send kidlet's PR card in with the application, or a copy of it, I don't remember already lol. But either way, I'd still need it for kidlet after the oath ceremony, so definitely hanging on to it. Thanks!

They received my application on March 6th and I got my notice with case # on March 11th and checked status, it was initial review. On March 13th, they sent me an email and two text messages saying that a fingerprint appointment notice has been sent out. I should get that notice tomorrow and I will have my fingerprint taken on Monday. The process has been pretty fast so far.

No, it didn't but i'll go anyway. Last time when i was applying for my permanent green card, I went to the appointment after i got the letter and they processed it right away. As long as you go before or on the scheduled day, it's fine.
