Hi all,

Got some good news today - was told on the phone my interview at London has been scheduled for 2nd July.

I sent my forms back on the 5th of this month, so that makes it 16 days from posting them to hearing of the date. Apparently a letter confirming the appointment is on its way to me.

Incidentally, the (very nice) woman on the end of the phone told me there was a "backlog" of applications at London and they were sorting through to process those with an imminent "planned travel date" first. I put mine as July 1, rather optimistically, or so I thought.

Hope this information is of use. I'm off to celebrate!

Thats pretty much what the lady said to me when I called her Monday, she said my OF-169 isn't in the system yet (got to them 11th June) and it would be three weeks.

As for the interview, they are scheduling them for people who want to go soon, but since i'm not planning to leave until December (and not wanting to lie to them saying I'm going next month) it could take a while for me to get scheduled.

I'm applying for an IR-1 visa at the embassy fyi.

I wonder, if that is a trend, my fiance put either the 1st week of july or july 5th as the travel date and his interview is the 6th... very annoying. Good luck

Congratulations, Mike! My fiance, Paul, has his interview on July 2 also. He returned
all of the forms to the embassy on June 2 and listed an anticipated travel date of
July 4 (a bit close, but we will make it!). I had been told that the London embassy
tries to accommodate the date of travel, if possible, and that appears to be the
