We have a Brit bus in Garland Texas also, its an older model, I think its advertising a church, why would someone want to ship over a london bus? buggerd if I know:confused:

I'll try and get a pic of it.

It also brings back some memories, my 2nd apprenticeship was working for Southern National a bus company in Dorset I was a auto-electrician and my first job was un-screwing all the indicator and head light lenses and washing all the dead flies out of it....nice eh!

It looks like a Leyland Daf, but I'm far from being one of those bus spotters, if they only knew that there was a bus in a Desert in Arizona they would be flocking over here like shite hawks:D

They used to have two in Vegas, near downtown where there was a pub called "Mad dogs and Englishmen". The buses disappeared a long time ago, and now the pub has shut to, which is no great loss, as it sucked!. They also have UK buses in NYC doing city tours.

It's a Bristol VRSTL model, two removed from the original STL model of the 50's.

My dad is a bus geek, which is mainly why I took that picture, to send to him. I was scarred for life, back in my pre-teen years going to many a bus rally:rolleyes:. I like to think of it though, as two or three steps above a trainspotter;)

So what's all this about Lake Havasu? Is that bridge for real or what? Is it really from London?

tony_2003 Dec 11th 2003 4:21 pm

I used to refuel these ones in Edinburgh a few years ago...
