A little more information about what you are looking for, where you will be working, your tolerance for commute time etc would probably be helpful in narrowing down the options.

Where will you be working? Do you have children? If you are working in Irvine and have kids then I would suggest living in Irvine over Huntington Beach. Less crime in Irvine, more nightlife in Huntington Beach:)
