So at one point these had the website geo restricted.

I'm planning on running a second router that specifically VPNs all traffic going through it to the UK - potentially - but this might remove that requirement

My plan is to VPN into the UK and use NOWTV (on the AppleTV) when needed. I'm not sure if it will work, but worth a shot.
I'm a big F1 fan and even in the UK when there's Channel 4 free to air I much prefer the Sky F1 coverage, so I'll be miffed if I can't find it!! (Or else just have to torrent it afterwards)

I use Mobdro on my Fire TV. I get ALL the channels (including Sky and all the movies) and I get to watch them on my TV without having to cast.

Quality is not bad though, but the range of channels is limited.

Sky is free on Apple TV in the U.S.
