I can't get it to connect on that AOL site....do you have to be an AOL member? Doesn't say that. Oh well, I'll wait till its on VH1 and probably miss all the good people. I'm wanting to see Stereophonics.

Thanks for that link, snorkmaiden - I'd never have found it myself!
I'm watching Faith Hill singing in Rome just now, and feeling so amazed that we can sit at the computer and tap in to all these different events.
As for those of us who knock the efforts of Bob Geldorf and Co., I can't understand your attitude. What if it appears self indulgent? What if the result is not exactly what the originators had in mind? Isn't the attention of most of the world being focused on a big problem on this planet. And as someone else said, even if the result is something minor like extra meds, or school equipment - or simply that people in Africa know that their fellow human beings CARE....that's enough. For me, at least.

Re: Live 8 (or Live Aid 2005)
Live Aid had more of a party atmosphere, Live 8 seems to be more serious. They are choosing more political songs (even Miss Dynamite just sang Bob Marley), although Green Day kicked ass - and I hope the f word got on tv!!!!! We are the champions, yes indeed you are Green Day, yes you are.
Did anyone else get sick of seeing Apple during Coldplays performance?
I have been flicking through the feeds and the Germans seem to be having the most fun!

Who is on the Rome stage now? I can't recognize him or his voice.

I'd heard a lot about Keane and had there song in my head without even realising who it was, as they play it on the radio here a lot. Now I might have to go buy their album.
