'they' say allot, 'they' often go back and forth on what's right and what's wrong, what's good and whats bad, 'they' can **** off.
But I agree Seasonal Affective Disorder is common, I think it's more of an issue in modern times because people travel around the world, feel great on holiday, and then bummed when they get home.

Yeah it does seem strange. From the article:
"A new study found that people who report more satisfaction with their lives live in states that score well on things like good schools, low crime and short commuting time, perhaps a first objective look at why some states are happier than others."
Good schools and low crime, doesn't sound like Louisiana to me...

29!! Twenty-nine?! I'll have you know we're a bloody cheerful lot up here, but the beatings will now have to continue until morale improves.
Besides... who wouldn't want to live in a state full of cheese? Happy happy, joy joy.

Don't forget, there was a well respected study, some years ago, that showed that people who are as thick as pigshit sail blissfully through life, convinced that they're the best person ever at their job, while folks who are capable of critical thinking worry about things that are not as perfect as they could be and get miserable.

I think this is what you are referring to: “Unskilled and Unaware of It: How Difficulties in Recognizing One’s Own Incompetence Lead to Inflated Self-Assessments.”
Makes a fun read if you have a few minutes spare...
