LI Visa/Passport Renewal

I am about to apply for a renewal of my 10 year British Passport. I live and work in the USA on an L1 Visa. Will the visa be transferred into my new passoprt. If not, what do I need to do to have it transferred/re-issued?

... but the identity of the passport holder will be the same.

I would suggest searching or posting in the US Visas forum for answers.
