I would have thought that under the 1996 Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act her immigration transgression and subsequent deportation would make her inadmissable for ten years anyway?
"People who have been unlawfully present in the U.S. for more than 180 days but less than a year are inadmissible for three years. Unlawful presence of more than a year leads to inadmissibility for ten years."
And if she tries to sneak back in, then its sayanara for good:
"Also, those who have been unlawfully present for more than one year, were deported, and then seek to reenter the US without authorization are permanently inadmissible."
