Leaving & re-entering on H4 visa

Leaving & re-entering on H4 visa
Hi guys - I am planning to return to the UK during my son's school holidays which lasts nearly 3 months. Does anyone know of any rules on how long a H4 (spouse of H1B) visa holder can leave the US without risking losing status? The visa does't run out for another 2+ years but I don't want to find that I can't get back in to be back with my husband!

You can return any time during the validity of the visa.
