When you do set a date to move I would go to your vet in the UK and start your dog on the Heartrworm treatment a couple of months before you go. Mine gave me a six month supply of Program Plus. Heartworms are common here in Houston in unprotected pets so I wanted to give mine a head start on prevention. Your dog will take one pill a month and as Heartworms are very nasty things to get, it is vital to protect your dog. Good luck with your move.
