Question Laptops - LA

Hi,
We are going to stop in LA for 1 night on our way to Aus.
We want to buy a laptop while we're there (weak $!)
Has anyone any ideas as to where we can get one in LA, our web searches have proved pretty futile! We have only found on-line shops, but we need somewhere we can walk into to pick it up.
We're looking for a pretty high spec model, any opinions or recommendations on what is good?
Also, how do you claim the tax back when we leave the US?

Cheers

I would try Fry's electronics and Best Buy. There is also Comp USA, Circuit city.

Best Buy and fry's are the ones my hubby finds the best for value and quality.

As Far as claiming the tax back. I am not sure. Try contacting the airline you are flying with..

Have fun shopping......

Quick question, will you have any transport during your 1 night in LA? From memory the nearest major electronics place to the airport is several miles away and you certainly wouldn't catch me walking the streets near LAX with a laptop!

Just a thought.

Cheers,
David.

not sure you can claim the tax back - although I'm quite happy to stand corrected...

bear in mind that it will have a US keyboard layout
