Default Labor cert. application: College Major different from job

Hello everyone.
I got a company to sponsor my work permit and green card but my concern is the job is in a totally different field from what I studied in college. I majored in computer science and had minors in math and business and this job is a Mortgage Loan Analyst position.
I need advice on how I can make this relate to what I studied in college on my resume.
Thanks for any tip.

Isn't this something your employer-to-be, your sponsor, sorts out?

If you have the job, why do you need to do a resume? Surely you are past the point where you need one.

Are you already here on another visa? The reason I ask is that it's not clear what your situation is right now when you mentioned a resume... for labor certifications your employer has to prove that there is no US worker qualified and available to work, and previously that would take years to process the application... the new system PERM goes live on March 29th but your employer still has to show that they advertised your job twice in a Sunday Newspaper and it has to go to the State Workforce Agency for 30 days too - and thats for a skilled, but not professional, position.

Apologies if you already know all this... but it is very complex and if you dont have the working experience required for the job then they are going to find it hard to put forward a feasible labor cert app, I would think. If you have the experience on the job, get no qualified responses to the ads, and they are willing to wait while you switch status, or longer, if you are not already over here.. then go for it!
