Felt it here in Woodland Hills too, still haven't got used to them and wondered what was going on for a moment. Must have been worse down there for you Sambapink

No, I think you must be closer! We felt a rumble then a jolt - the kids felt it much worse upstaires - I think the scariest thing is each time you wonder if it's the 'big one'

Only 4.7 according to the latest report from USGS - not big enough to do any real damage.

We had one here just over a year ago, and I was on the bed watching TV I was terrified, another reason I won't live in the Bay area, because when the big one comes, I don't want to be in the firing line

You feel them more when you're laying down.

It's a horrible feeling.

Its been a few years since my last quake, but back in 2004 we had a small one in San Diego during the lunch hour, and I was at the movies, other then a few seconds with people looking around to see if everyone felt it, we all went back to watching the movie.

I'll take earthquakes over hurricaines or Tornados.

From what I've read, each 'little' quake lessens the chance for one big one since the faults aren't stuck and then suddenly releasing amounting to a HUGE quake.

The New Madrid and another fault near where I live has been more active lately, but a bunch of small ones are fine with me as long as there's one huge one.
