Husband and I came to US on L1B and L2 from UK. Husband has been issued an H1B visa. We need to get this stamped in his passport.
Can we mail his passport back to the consulate in London or does he need to have an interview?
Thanks
Pam

Pam we just had ours done in London by mail (10 days). Try American Express Passport
and Visa Services ring 01144 207 456 1777 they will process it for you and courier
you passports back.

I'm not sure yet but I think about 60 squid (sorry only $ key available) plus courier
charge. If you have FedEx/DHL account at work send a prepaid return waybill with your
paper work.
I'm doing this from the US are you here or in the UK? Chris

Thank you
Chris,
thank you for that information.
We are in the US just now and worried about leaving the country - in case my husband wouldn't get back in.
You describe exactly what we did to get the L1B/L2 visa stamped in our passports.
Thanks again

Mine got back from the US Embassy today and are now on the way back here. So pleased
cause I'm due to go to Europe next week.

We called up this morning - American Express and Carson Wagonlit.
American Express quoted 32 pounds for the Visa and 40 pounds + VAT for them to do it.
Carson Wagonlit ( who did my original Visa) quoted 32 pounds for the visa and 25 pounds + VAT for them to do it. We will probably use Carson Wagonlit as they can accept email enquiries.
Thanks again Chris for reminding me of this. :-)
