British Expats - L2 based EAD

I have a L2 visa and planning to come to US soon. Can I apply for EAD and leave the country and come back on L2 after teh EAD is approved? Are there any conditions regarding my presence in the country during the EAD process?

Any comments are appreciated.

Hi,

I don't think there are any conditions (I've applied for an EAD based on an L2 as
well). I left the US and came back. I'm still waiting on my EAD. They take a while.
