Default L1 visa date and I-94 differ - Help !!

Hi gurus,

This might have answered earlier and i searched the newsgroup but couldn't find the relevant post.

my case is this..I am working on L-1 visa and approval says its valid till march 2003. Now when i checked today, my I-94 was valid till Feb 28, 2002.

Am i in any trouble ? I talked to my lawyer and she said its fine...you will get a new I-94 when you travel out of US and as long as the approval is there, you don't need to worry.

I read and found in other posts that you cannot overstay the duration of your I-94 ? Is this somewhat different for L-1 visa ??

What should i do ? should i file I-94 extention immediately ?
I am very much worried.
Please help.

thanks
Tom
