Default Kyle the Hurricane

Anyone living on the east coast of the states affected by this storm?

Be safe if you are in the path of this hurricane and check in when you can to let us know you are safe and sound.

Thoughts are with the folks living in news brunswick, where the hurricane is directly headed......be safe everyone.

Apparently it will hit Maine tomorrow sometime if it doesn't hit Canada instead...

I am wondering whether to put the trampoline actually in the woods rather than beside them

Other than that just waiting...

Ah we're far enough inland to just have a bit of wind and rain. Well that's what they said on News 8 WMTW tonight.

Yeah I guess it caught the lobstermen off gaurd, as it came racing up the coast so quick. Down East is going to get hit with wind gusts, heavy rain and waves of about 20 feet. Someone said it was going to be like a normal winter storm just without the snow.

Sometimes we get more trouble from a winter storm than a tropical storm or hurricane. Main difference is that I think once they name a storm your insurance deductibles go up.

yeah, the first I knew about it was someone asked me if we were ok on a dog forum I post on!

Apparently it's the first time Maine's been on "Hurricane Watch" in 17 years.
We've jsut got a bit of rain really, not even any wind.

A while back hubby & I were saying that we'd rather deal with snow than the things that other people have to deal with i.e. hurricanes and earthquakes. So if Maine starts getting hurricanes...well....sod that...we're moving!

It wasn't windy at all but the rain was quite spectacular.

Hmmm I think I've been in worse hurricanes in the UK.

Hope all are well where it's really hitting.
