korean embassy in the philippines
my fiance went to the korean embassy to see about coming to korea with me on a fiance visa, i'm usaf active...they told her that she had to have 150,000 pesos to come here, in her account...why does she need that, if i make enough shouldnt she still be able to come??some of these things arent making sense...

they make no sense to you Karl. This is so that when she arrives in Korea she is
1. Not going to be a burden on the government.
2. Engage in illegal acts to earn money (ie prostitution, drug trafficking and human trafficking)
3. Has enough money to get her home (if needed)
Governments are weird - they want you to come to there countries and spend money but they don't want to give you any, go figure
