Kopparberg pear cider

On a recent visit back home, I tried this delicious Swedish perry for the first time. Bottled ciders and perrys served in a pint glass over ice are all the rage over there at the moment, I'm told. Anyone know if it is available in the States? Apparently, Ikea sells it in Britain (I didn't even know they sold food and drink, but obviously they do), but I don't know if they do here, and even if they do, there isn't an Ikea in Columbia.

Not really much help but it has been available in America but not widely and not common. You could try emailing some of the importers to see if they have had it. Also, find a good local beer/wine store. They can be very helpful tracking down things via their contacts.

Only cider I've ever found here has been Strongbow and Hornby's. Never seen perry over here. :( Mind you, went to the 2nd annual Chelmsford Beer Festival when I was over there in July and my Dad tasted an organic perry from the southwest of England somewhere. I had a sip... it was awful, so bitter! It rather put me off perries.

Email the brewer here to ask about US importers or retailers-

I know it's in Swedish but they may have an email address and I expect they will be able to respond in English.

I was a Babycham kind of kid for a couple of years when my mum was upset at dad for giving me beer. He started me on beer when I was 6 months old, and she was none too pleased.

It's not too bad, don't know how it compares to the Swedish stuff.
