Yes, i'm an Expat. Born and raised in Darlington County Durham, then lived in London for 6 years, then over here to Knoxville in 98. I actually moved to an adjacent county 5 years ago to a small farm type property, but still only about a half hour drive from downtown Knox.

Hello Dean,
There are a couple of us contributing to this thread who live in Knoxville and are from England. I'm from Birmingham and have been here since about 1990. From The Manor Born is also from Birmingham but he insists that he is actually from the Black Country and not Brum. ;)
I was actually up in the Durham area last November and took a few friends to see the cathedral etc. So I can confirm that it was all still there as of a few months ago!
Maybe we should think about arranging a little get together so we can fight about football and where we are actually from? :)

Tony, i would love to get together with some of the Brits in the area. I have another Brit friend from Bradford whom lives in Sweetwater, not too far from here.
