"A federal appeals court in Ohio has rejected the conviction and death sentence on Briton Kenny Richey.
Mr Richey has been on Death Row since 1987 after he was convicted of killing a two-year-old girl in a fire.
The 6th US Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that he must be retried within 90 days or set free. "

...And at the other end of the scale - there is this bloke on Death Row who wants to feel that warmth through his veins but they won't let him.
He's even hired a lawyer to make sure he gets what's coming to him, but a judge has said that there must be summat wrong with him - he wants to die, he says he deserves it. Can't do it then.

Perhaps that's why Richey has been there for so long. He's been fighting the execution, thus extending his stay. When in fact he should have been asking for it and he would have been out (either way) earlier than now.
