just a headsup - my credit union is now insisting on 2FA using a US telephone number. Not an issue for me since I still live here but something to keep in mind when you leave the USA if your bank also does this. Anyone know if a google voice US number would work?

Good warning for folks to check ahead of time. Fortunately the whole world is not on mobile phones so companies generally do have to cater for landlines.

I have a couple of US accounts, including Vanguard, that have a US phone number requirement for 2FA but they both accept voice as well as text. When needed I end up receiving a phone call, with a robotic voice speaking out the validation number to enter into the website.
