K3 Process Update
 

Hello all,

Well, after e-mailing the Embassy in London that

1) I've received the "Notice of Approval" for the I-129F, and
2) I'd like to open a file for my wife and daughter there...

The e-mail return stated that they needed either the approved packet from the U.S. (probably via slow boat to China) OR the "original" I-129F approval to begin processing.

Thanks to posts in here, I decided to FedEx my "original" to the Embassy. They rec'd the document with an attached letter from me on Fri, 27 Sept. Yesterday morning, 11 Oct, the packet 3 arrives to begin her processing. My wife completed all the forms, the checklist, organized photos and sent package "delivery guarantee" (or whatever called there) today along with a letter addressed to the individual that had sent the package.

The point of this thread...simple...

1) Timeline update
2) I recommend for anyone out there waiting to get a file started quickly to e-mail/call the Embassy that will be handling the process and see if they'll accept the "original" approval. It worked for us and I think it's much faster than waiting for the INS to forward it
3) To thank everyone for all their help to date and to offer my help if anyone would like it :)
