Hi !

I am now in USA. I want to my finace who is in India to be here .
I have a couple of questions
- Can I fly to India and file the petition from there.
-or Can I go to India after filing the petition( before having known the approval) and come back along with my fiance.

The I-129F has to be filed in the US at the service center governing where you live. You can, of course, fly to India and get married there and file the I-130 at the INS office in India. See posts from MdMd10

I do know that I should be filing the petion at the service centre governing the state I live.
My question was whether i could mail the petition to the service centre from India.
I dont want to get married in India and file I-130. I have decided to file the I- 129 F.
But could I mail the petition to the service centre from India.
If that isnt possible can I go to India after filing the petition in the service centre.
I live in New Jersey. Could you please tell me where I should be filing the petition. Is it the Vermount Centre or somewhereelse? Do I have to file it in person?
