When I got my first apartment, I went out for a walk, the soil is acid here so azaleas do extremely well, I wandered for a while till a police car drove up and asked me it I was lost. It wasn't a big deal, they were quite friendly, but went away shaking their heads at the thought of walking around, they would have driven slowly around.

Good afternoon all,
Arrived in Houston 3 weeks ago, just secured our rental and may return to a vaguely normal existence once I get out of this hotel and don't feel the need to throttle the offspring. Have used and abused the wiki before we landed, so sorted on most things...however I do have a couple of questions, which I thought it would be rude to ask before saying hello.
So hello to you all. If I become eloquent enough, I may even join in with more serious matters, such as Pet Peeves and football talk

Long shot, but you're not a Geordie are you? I was talking with a friend today who met someone who had been here a couple of weeks and had exactly the same urge with her kids

I am actually located in Sun City, Hilton Head, a 55 and over retirement community. It takes about 30 minutes to get to Savannah's River Walk. May I ask where you work?
