Re: Is it just me? ....
Luckily, nobody has attempted to give me Hershey's for Christmas, but there was one time a vendor had given us a Christmas 'please pay us' plea in the form of a giant block of chocolate. Wasn't until I'd popped a piece in my mouth that I realised who had made it. Took a while to get the taste out of my mouth
Obviously I'm not enough of a bastard to bring it up to people that eat it, but do they not realise it tastes like sick? Probably the same as with root beer, that tastes of carbolic soap, but my son chucks that down his neck like it's going out of fashion. Yuck. I love custard though, and creamed rice, and salad cream, pork pies and HP sauce :p |

Just to balance things out a bit I also can't stand the old British classic .... CUSTARD.
I have very scary memories of my school puddings swimming in the stuff. One time the lunch monitor made me eat my pudding in spite of me telling her I didn't like custard (the dinner ladies just shoved it on top my apple pie) and I preceded to throw up all over her shoes. (That'll teach her :D ) (Once again ... apologies to any custard lovers out there) |

It's horrible! It leaves a waxy film in your mouth that you just can't shift!

I don't like the stuff made from powder (birdshit for example) but I really like real egg custard.
