just curious
Why is it that every time I post an answer, at least one other person replies, stating the exact same thing I've just said?

Re: just curious
I'm not 100% sure of how these things work, but I believe
this site is "fed into" from various newsgroups, and that there
is occasionally a time delay.
I suppose the good thing is that there are plenty of people
wanting to help and offer advise.
Also, occasionally there is some incorrect (or distorted advice)
and so second and third opinions can be very re-assuring.

There was a reasonably detailed discussion about that a few weeks ago. Folks who use the google site wait for 6 - 8 hours for their post to update. When google does refresh, a number of replies appear at the same time. That's why I now access the group through britishexpats - more real time mode.

PS - I'm USC and my fiancee is Chinese.

I don't have a answer for you, but I wonder why it is that every time I or my hubby
makes a post to this newsgroup we seldom get a reply. We have had several questions
and are going through all the same stuff as many others here but get little help from
anyone. So we will go on our way and get through this process on our own, without
the help of this NG. (((
Good luck to you all

Don't give up hope. This is a high volume newsgroup with probably more people asking
questions than there are people giving answers. With as many messages that get
posted here day to day, it may be that your post gets passed by without notice by
whoever just might have an answer for you. I'd say 50% of what I post doesn't get an
answer and when it was something important I'd repost it. That would usually get
some sort of responce.
I'll tell ya, without this group I don't think we would have made it through this
whole (and ongoing) process.
Good luck to you.
