as for abstinence that's a whole other thread, one on which I've commented on before...but let me ask you this....if they practice abstinence, and sex is a sin of the flesh...why oh why are there so bloody many of them?!?!?
oh yeah, let me answer my own question....Cos abstinence is moot and the only thing a horny teenager( actually horny adult for that matter ) really needs is a condom!

Generations of separation by the Tana River, caused the two groups to become a seperate species.
And if I understand your second question correctly (will the laws be very different from what is now and what it was before), history shows that certain natural disasters can cause environmental changes and evolution has occurred from such. It is possible that a dramatic natural disaster in the future could cause another evolutionary shift.

Or more to the point, the laws of physics.
Our environment is controlled by the elements surrounding us. Gravity, air pressure heat, etc. Those that fell asleep in Physics may have missed all the details of how such things are governed.
You questioning is of a familiar kind sir and I see your conclusion before the end. I do not subscribe to that same assumption.
Children all across the world fall asleep on christmas eve dreaming of a man in a red suit to deliver their christmas gifts. Years on, they gain new knowledge and realize the truth of it all.
Man has yet to awaken from his religious slumber. But it is not my right to interrupt a dream. That would be rude. We all have dreams, and they are very personal
Now I'm rambling, so I'm off to bed. Sweet dreams.

First one theory ... now we are on nth theory ... Chaos theory. I respect that you say there is no god. At least you are not lukewarm on the issue! You are a programmer of sorts, but what of the origin of the code that governs the laws that govern our world, the value of absolute zero. Why does a gas contract at a certain rate as it cools? Why that value? Another value could have worked, would have worked, sure things would be a bit different, but absolute zero has a certain value, but it could have been another value. But it is one value. Like poles repel and unlike attract - why not the other way around? Why not? Why that way?

Every day around us these laws are at work, keeping the planet turning, allowing birds to fly, plants to grow and for me to continue my existence.
The fact that natural law controls the way molecules perform (your gas questions) and the way in which elements are formed is a wondrous thing. But again, I see no supernatural intervention.
As free thinking mammals, we have a higher intelligence than any other creature (that we know of) and therefore we question many things around us. We look for answers where there are none and attempt to explain the unexplainable. We attribute values to actions (E=MC2) and then sit back in wonder at the mathematical layout of the Universe. Why? For it was us that placed this formula label on it. It is only miraculous because we label it to be.
Pythagoras provides equations on triangles in school and we merely sit there bored waiting for the lunch bell. But when we look at the math of the Universe, we stop and question our existence. Why? The Universe exists, it always has. Now we come along and add labels to its wonder and question its origin.
When I was young, I tried so hard to believe a hand was at the controls of life and the Universe but it just didn't seem possible. Too many explanations were lost in the "miraculous" or the explained away, glossed over by supernatural means. But magic does not exist. Magic is an illusion, a trick of the eye and mind.
As for the poles, beware, the reversal is soon to occur and man will again be faced with a complex issue due to his love of labels.
