job suggestions for husband
New member here
We are an English couple moving to Florida, I'm a nurse so we both have immigrant visas. Husband will look for work when we get there, and says he'll have a go at anything. What we're really after is suggestions on what sort of job/company would be best to target where he would get good employee benefits. The pay isn't as important to us as the benefits (health cover etc). I'll get benefits with my job and could probably get some sort of family cover but thinking it might be better if he can get a job with his own benefits.
Any advice appreciated

Ya know, Publix or Walmart or Denny's, something that will keep him busy and earning a few bucks
Just an idea.

For your spouse to get employment, he needs to work on his resume/CV first of all.
Since your husband has no American experience, realistically, he may find it difficult (as in the length of time) to find work. Now, you say that health benefits are a priority but if you're getting health benefits anyway, your husband can certainly be a beneficiary on your plan.
You've got a job to go to but it may take months for your husband to find a job that he's prepared to and like. Also, the job may not come with benefits or if so, they may only be available after x no. of months of employment.
If your husband wants to use some of his paramedic qualifications in the US, he may have to take conversation/equivalence courses because his UK qualifications may not be recognized. He can search the web for details of that kind of thing.
Best of luck!
