Job Offer - Salem, Oregon
Hi,
After only a couple a weeks trawling Monster.com and other related sites - I've been lucky enough to get an offer of a placement - obviously I will take it - if all goes well with the J1 I should be there by October - but I don't know anything about Oregon. I have friends in LA and San Diego but they're a 15 hour drive away ! Are there any Brits in Salem ? A friend would be nice to have .......

Hey!.
Oregon is a very beautiful state mate, the weather can get pretty drizzly during certain months but it's scorching in the summer. Winters are mild compared to the UK. Been to Salem (i'm fairly close in Eugene) a couple of times and find it a pleasant enough place, tons of stores and leafy suburbs.
