$1K per person ... per year???? A bargain. I would buy into that, would love to get my mum on that.
I think mine is around $400 a month and have to pay the first $1,000 of every visit to the hospital and then 20% after the first $1,000. I can't get health insurance for my mother, will have to wait on a prayer until she makes USC and then it will be around $360 (at todays rates) to get her on a version of Medicare. Soon as she becomes a USC I am hiring a specialist elder law specialist to get the best deal for her. Though frankly, I think I will be moving back to the UK soon as I decide to step off the accelerator peddle.

But the people it is covering so far from what I can gather aren't spring chickens, so it sounds like they are getting a lot of care that they wouldn't otherwise, heart by-pass, cancer treatment etc.

I wonder what the procedure will be as regards me living in Canada when we get married? Would I have to return home?.
