Yes - he's fluent. On what is the perception based? It's quite difficult to evaluate as every place has its pros and cons. And I must say that in reading the posts in the various forums (eg US/ Oz/ NZ) you get exposed more to negativity than positivity. I've chalked this up to the people who are having positive experiences just "getting on with it" and not needing to sprout forth in a public forum. I guess this is human nature after all!



When did your sister first begin working in the US? Post 9/11? Getting an IT job in the US, even when one is American, is far from easy at the present time. It's been this way, in general, for at least the last two years.

Post 9/11. In terms of career stimulation and opportunities she doesn't necessarily rate the job, but judging by the posts it seems that she is in a better position than most.
