job help

Hi there'
We might have a problem here, it looks like that the company that my husband works for is going to start laying off this month. My worry is that the aos interview is at the end of august. He has his last 3 years tax returns, he has just made enough to cover 125% of the poverty line, even though his work history isnt up to scratch, job change every 6 months or so for one reason or another. If he gets the employers letter now stating that he is employed there etc etc and the additional stuff needed for the affidavit of support, do you think we will be safe even if he is laid off? Do they check with employers to see if you are still working there or anything?

Please help any advice is appreciated.

Thanks

Re: job help

We've discussed this before. The majority of the group think that giving a letter
saying that you are employed when you no longer are is fraudulent and could come back
to bite you. The best thing, IMHO, is to be truthful. At the worst you will have a
few more months for him to get a job or for you to find a co-sponsor.

Andy.
