Default Jeremy Paxman

One of the night's highlights - a confrontation betweem George Galloway and Jeremy Paxman;

Video of Interview - requires Real Player

Why aren't there any Jeremy Paxman's in this country? Tim Russert et al are all so spineless when interviewing politicians.

Great stuff.

Whether you agree with the war or not, Galloway is nothing but a scum bag.

I would pay to see Jeremy Paxman question George Bush, it would probably be the biggest pay-per-view event of the decade!

Fantastic stuff!
Just, for a second, compare this with the sickening "interview" of Tom Ridge on the Early Show last night. Poor Americans just have no idea, do they?

I would proabably pay $100 for that as long as all the ignorant people near me were forced to watch it too

Nothing exceptional about it in my book. Jeremy asked him a loaded question and he did not bite. It deteriorated from there. Tame really. BE does better than that.

I don't think Paxman did himself any favours by starting out that Galloway shouldn't have ran against a "poor black woman incumbent"

Galloways is a twat, not a rascist twat

Rather amusing viewer comments on the beeb site about it, not many in favour of JP on that one...but I thought it were amusing...

Would be fantastic to see JP interview Condi and Bush though wouldn't it...

I wouldn't label him a racist. But the comment about 100,000 people in Iraq losing their lives with darker faces than hers, was a close call.

I do agree that the man's an ass.

Paxman souldn't have interviewed like that though. Galloway would have hung himself on his own without others help

I've just watched that and is great knock about entertainment. Best part was where GG says "I believe people get elected because of their record and because of their policies." This coming from a constituency MP, who managed to drag his wretched carcass into the Commons for 1% of Parliamentary votes in the last Parliament. I expect the good people of Bow and Bethnal Green will get a similar stellar performance. GG just acts like he's a derranged megalomaniac in interviews because he is actually an MI5 agent dedicated to undermining his own reputation....

It's the only explanation.....

Still, he's great entertainment value, I'll give him that much.
