Default Jacksonville

Morning all
We are seriously considering a move to the Jacksonville, Florida area this summer, right before the start of the new school year, assuming my immigrant visa is approved by then (husband is a USC - I-130 filed with US Embassy in London a couple of weeks back). From hours of online research, we're thinking the Fruit Cove area will be the best match for what we want - good schools, not too far to the beach, safe. Does anyone here know the area of have any words of advice?
