J1 internship salary?
Just out of curiosity - what's the rule about salaries/stipends for a J1 internship?
I've seen an ad for a company wanting a french student for 6 months in the USA for $1500 a month which seems awfully low.

$1,500/mth is $8.65/hr for 40 hour weeks so well over federal minimum wage.
I can't imagine that a minimum requirement greater than federal minimum wage would be applied for J-1 internships.
