That is a major point for me.

In SoCal, dry rivers = no bugs. I LOVE it.

But can Florida really be more expensive than CA to live?
Humidity keeps the English peaches and cream skin intact. California dries you out like a prune.

Tell me more about these English "peaches"... I already know about the cream skin.

You just stick to prunes, it will be healthier for you.

Yes it was a joke, however I do wish people were more friendly here.

OK no state income tax, but in a recently read article that was posted on one of the threads here they said that for the first time in decades more people are leaving Fl than are coming in due increasing taxes, lower than average pay and a higher cost of living as a result of all the hurricane insurances etc.

I'm not saying FL is all bad. Far from it. Everywhere has its bad points. But research your move VERY carefully.
All drivers in LA are wonderful, its never hot in LA never, and living in LA is super cheap and the taxes are so low, earthquake insurance is free too.

Humidity was ok this time thankfully, and it seemed fairly cool compared to leaving the 110 of LA. Did get bitten a few times though 'cos we forgot to repel on the 1st night

Could it be that the people are friendlier because they are all relaxing at Disney on vacation, though?

And yes, the English pub is authentic.....mostly because because its usually filled with capri panted, football shirt wearing English Florida lovers on holiday You're hard pressed to hear an American accent in there!

I thought that, but you don't get the same friendliness at Disney in California, so No

Yes, Bliss

Wife beater t-shirt, hanky over a bald head, football club tattoo, pint of beer in one hand and a copy of The Sun in the other.

Very accurate i'd say for the men that is.

What about 'brit woman' though.
