Question It's Red Nose Day in the USA, 25 May, Who knew?

I was in Walgreen's earlier and at the till they were trying to get customers to buy a plastic red nose, just as is done for Red Nose Day in the UK.

I would have perhaps bought one for the car but they didn't have any. Tbh I'm not a big fan of large charity events, I prefer to support small scale charities.

I only moved back to the US late last Summer....has the Red Nose Day caught on in a big way over here?

This year was the first time I had seen a commercial for it, or seen any red noses - I've been here since 2013.

I did Purchased my red nose last week on a drug run to Walgreens. I gave up red noses decades ago but the proceeds go to a good cause.

I support this charity with a purchase of a red nose and another charity of Walgreens by getting flu shot there as well.

Not so far as I've noticed. I vaguely recall it being "launched" two or three years ago.

It' not anywhere near as big over here (having it on a Thursday doesn't really help) but I introduced it to my company last year and they buy everyone a red nose so it's a start!

For me it is Towel Day (Douglas Adams) and Lilac Day (Terry Pratchett)

Anyone who uses Walgreens, maybe?

They have been advertising it for weeks.

They've had it at least once or twice before this year, but I only ever see any kind of publicity for it in Walgreens, never anywhere else for some reason.

I've only noticed it this year, after a trip to Walgreen's. I had to Google it, it has been around a few years it seems.
