Sweetie when I grew up there in the 50s, it was the only place you could buy it. If you travelled to England and asked for it they looked at you as if you had lost your mind. Trust me, back then it was purely a Scottish drink.

Irn bru was first made in Glasgow in 1901 by A. G. Barr.

Made in Scotland from griders. Everyone knows that.

But who remembers Cream Soda from Garvies of Milngavie?

I sure do! And Alpine and Dunns - gosh that takes me back I remember when the Alpine "ginger" man would come and have all their crates on the back of the van and my mum would let me pick out from all these weird and wonderful flavours!

It's made in Haydock in England. reason I know is my Brother in Law drives it up to Scotland from the factory. Made by the Vimto people Nicholls Ltd. Sorry to destroy your illusions.

Can't say I loved the stuff. Not sure why it's marketed as Scotlands second national drink, since few people I knew bought the stuff. Does a roaring trade on the West coast judging by the soap dodg....eh I mean Rangers and Celtic fans who seem to live on it.
