Question Internet TV

Hi

Several days ago I saw something about IP888.tv on this forum. But I can't seem to find it now. I tried finding it on Google but nothing came up. Does anyone know what happened to the info on this? I would love to be able to watch current British tv programmes while in the US.

I've found that the Media Hint add-on for Firefox and Chrome "just works" for the BBC iPlayer and Channel 4. For S4C we had to use Expat Shield. Haven't tried ITV yet - probably will do when the next series of "Endeavour" starts.

MediaHint stumbles on live sporting stuff like the 6 Nations, but otherwise, it's great.

Doesn't work on mobile devices though, but Hola Unblocker seems to work on Android. Have to google the script thingy for BBC iPlayer, but once clicked on that, it also works a treat.

Media Hint is far more straightforward than Hola for accessing BBC iPlayer - no messing about with any scripts or anything (and that maniacal-looking Hola icon which installed itself on my URL bar - can go bye bye
What I did was to add this link to my Bookmarks list ("Favorites" on a PC?):
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/tv/bbc_...land/watchlive

(It happens to be for BBC2 - but once there..click on wherever you prefer to be). Seems to work a charm.....

Yes, but it doesn't work on mobile devices, which was the point I made above.

Great for desktop/laptops though.
