Default International Text Messaging

Everybody I know in the UK uses text messaging between their cellphones. Now you can send a text message from MSN 7 to a friend's cellphone.

Does anyone know if you can text message someone in the UK from here using MSN 7 ? If so, how is it billed to anyone ?

Don't know about MSN, but you can't with ICQ to UK mobiles anymore, and you can't do that email trick either of using mobile phone number@operater. whatever they use...

It should be free though because it's basically an email...

i just looked at the Lycos site. It says you can - "Why not text one of your international buddies? Lycos SMS works all over the world!" but I think you have to be a Lycos subscriber to use it.

yeah, well it's all due to the networks accepting it, which is why ICQ stopping doing it...text msg's to the UK that is...presume MSN would be the same.

But there are a few places online that allow sms messages, usually have to pay for a thing of credits though...O2 do free online sms' service, get about 50 a month I think...but you need an o2 number....

I used to use the Lycos service while you were able to send so many free per month. Then they started charging for it and I haven't used it since.

If you don't mind paying for the service, it works pretty well and is easy to use.

I found this site on Google just now: (www.cbfsms.com/. Haven't had a chance to read it over, I have a head full of rocks at the mo

I use this website 118888 to send texts to friends and family in the UK.

They used to allow 10 free messages per day but as of today they've changed it to 50 messages per month.
