International Autosource quotation
I have received the following quotation from International autosource
[Retail] 2014 Volkswagen Jetta Sedan (1622J3) 4dr Auto S (5)
Lease with $1,900 down over 36 months $287 monthly
Loan with $3,800 down over 36 months $449 monthly
While the monthly payments look good, I feel I am getting a very basic model for it. The MSRP price on the quotation seems more than what VW has got on their website.
I know of friends who relocated and got a Passat for similar costs as above.
I have also heard VW might do a deal directly, if I really have to stick with VW
Please share your thoughts.
TIA.

Re: International Autosource quotation
The IA quote should be "all in", .... is the website quoting a before tax price?
Volkswagen Group seems to be the one manufacture that prices aggressively and is willing to cut a deal for new immigrants. .... Perhaps they are trying to grow their market share after building a large new plant in Chattanooga, TN, ... but their market share is actually declining!

IA says
Invoice Base price = 17,707
MSRP Base price = 17820
All inclusive, Invoice = 19,220 & MSRP = 20,048
VW.com says Jetta S starts at 16,720
Invoice Base price = 17,707
MSRP Base price = 17820
All inclusive, Invoice = 19,220 & MSRP = 20,048
VW.com says Jetta S starts at 16,720

Don't know the details, but a friend earlier in the year got a Jetta, $420 a month lease cost over 36 months, in Boston, but I think they went direct and not IA.

Re: International Autosource quotation
We have a Jetta SE which we signed for 2 weeks ago via vw directly.
We went with VW direct because they only wanted $1900 up front all whereas IA was $1900 in plus sales tax and registration which would have been about another $500.
We pay $298 a month for an SE with 15000 miles a year over 24 months. This included $30 a month of damage waiver, so any dings, dents, scratches are covered upto $5000 so no big bill worries when we hand the car back.
Is your IA quote for 12000 miles? If so then I'd guess you can do better with VW direct. The only snag was you need a SS number....

Our base price was $17, 621.55. The loan was on that, plus the $650 dent etc fee (which is the $30 a month I mentioned above) plus $625 acquisition fee.
