interim EAD vs regular EAD
 

hi,
i recently got my interim work permit(EAD), after walking into the INS suboffice on my 91st day of waiting.

2 days after, i checked my case status in the INS website and was indicated there that a new EAD card has been ordered for me, and will be mailed to me soon.

does it mean my interim work permit is no longer valid and that i should wait for the regular work permit?
