info needed
 
i am 18 and dad is 65 and we are hoping to emmigrate too the us and would like to know what visas are needed dad hopes to buy a buisness up to $150000 and i wish to study i am currently doing an nvq 2 in maintainence engineering and would it be possible to do same course in the us my dad is a retired fireman and has a good enough pension to sutain himself if this makes a difference i would be very greatful if anyone could help many thanks ry beardwell

The visa you are referring to is an E-2

Against of course is his age.
Does he really want to start a new career and business at his age
he wom't be able to retire here ..

ive been looking at gas stations and i was intending to buy the business and employ people to run it can my son come on my visa e2 and then apply for a visa to stay in the us

What sort of visa did you have in mind for him?

he can come as a joint E-2

a study based visa first or he could come on my e2 visa then he'd have to get a work visa for himself how long does an e2 last and how hard is it to get? where can i obtain an applicatin form for the e2 visa

you need to get the business before you apply for the visa ..read the site gave you ..

F1 is a student visa, but I don't know if you can get that for a community style course?

read the wiki for the ways in for the other visas....

... and there's the cost of health insurance for the two of you. Is your father in good health or does he take any regular medications? If one is self-employed, paying for health insurance can be pretty steep.
