for info - which is better and quicker?

My best friend is getting married soon. Need to know which is the better mode:

Marriage between a Singaporean and an American...is it better and quicker to be married in Singapore or in America?

What will the procedure and estimated time taken be like for each scenario below:-
(A)marriage registration in Singapore?
(B)marriage registration in America?
(C)any difference in the tenure of the Green Card/PR? heard there are those for 2 years, 5 years or 10years. True?

Many thanks for any and all assistance. Alternatively, private emails may be sent to me.

Once again, thanks:)

Unless direct consular filing were available to her and her husband, then there is no quick way. Marriage in either of the ways you proposed would mean a separation from each other of up to a year or more as they wait out the filing of the I-130 at the Service Center in the US, subsequent filing of the I-129F for a K-3 for the foreign spouse after receipt of the I-130 and the timeline for the initial approval of the K-3 before it is even sent to the appropriate Consulate overseas for processing would be from one to six months judging from the timelines of others.

The quickest route, if they have met each other in person during the previous two years would be to go the I-129F/K-1 Fiancee Visa route which should get the foreign fiancee to the US within 6 to 8 months. After marriage here in the US, the foreign spouse can wait in the US while waiting for adjustment of status to conditional permanent resident.

My suggestion is for you and your "friend" to read the FAQ.

If intent on marrying and waiting it out, you both can read up on this method at:

Msny thanks for your input.

The couple has been together for about 2 years, each taking trips to visit one another in their home country.
