Incorrect A# on I-551 stamp
Hello,
My wife and I got our I-551 stamps early March 2002. We are still waiting for the actual plastic green cards to arrive. Today, we just realized that her I-551 stamp has a typo. One of the digits in her A# is incorrect (number 6 instead of 9). I guess we were just too excited to get the stamps last time and forgot to double check it then. Will this cause a problem? Is there anything we should do to remedy this or just wait to see if the actual plastic green card has the correct number? Thank you very much in advance for your help. Chandra |

Keep the correct A# handy if INS asks you if you use the GC to travel, but other than that, it is not material. Ingo I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice.
