Importing pets

I have two 5 year old cats which I would like to bring with me when I move from the
UK to Florida (permanently). I have been trying to find some information regarding
the import of pets into US but have not had much success either on the US government
websites or here in the UK. Can someone please advise what documents I will need:
will the vet need to issue a "good health" certificate? Will they need to be
vaccinated against rabies or any other disease? Both cats have had they regular jabs
and have a document to prove this. Is this sufficient?
Thanks, Klara

I brought a purebred Labrador Retriever last summer on my TN-1 permit. I had a full
history of his vet visits which had highlighted sections like his rabies boosters,
etc. They let him in, no problem. As long as they're curernt on their shots, I don't
think there would be a problem.
